Ooprint would like to again congratulate the winners of the 2008 Holiday Greeting Card Design Competition, and publish some biographical information about these talented designers!

Grand Prize Winner: Jennifer Gordon

Our Grand Prize winner hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Jennifer Gordon graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a degree in Graphic Design.  She manages both a design website, www.velvetelvis.com, and a graphics forum, www.swankwithoutthewank.com.  She also has a full time contract at Internet Broadcasting Systems.  Jennifer is fully proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Dream Weaver, xhtml, and css.  When she's not designing, she enjoys reading, cooking, Facebooking, and spending time with her daughter.

Jury Prize Winner: Gaël Rabarijaona

Our Jury Prize Winner comes all the way from Madagascar!  Gaël Rabarijaona has been passionate about the internet and multimedia from a very young age.  He obtained a degree in graphic design and began his first job as a web designer at the age of 18.  Two years later, he and a partner created e-solve, a company that provides technical website support, internet marketing, and design solutions.  At e-solve Gaël is responsible for the design and creation of various products: from website and interactive CD-ROMs to posters, flyers, and pamplets.  He continually researches and stays up-to-date on the evolution of multimedia and graphic art trends.

Premier Prix : Jennifer Gordon

La gagnante du Premier Prix vient de Minneapolis, aux Etats-Unis.  Jennifer Gordon a fait ses étedues en graphisme au Minneapolis College of Art and Design.  Elle anime un site web de design, www.velvetelvis.com, ainsi qu'un forum de graphisme, www.swankwithoutthewank.com.  Elle travaille aussi chez Internet Broadcasting Systems.  Jennifer maîtrise les logiciels Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Dreamweaver et elle travaille aussi avec le xhtml et css.  Elle se détend en lisant, cuisinant, jouant sur Facebook, et en passant du temps avec sa fille. 

Prix du Jury : Gaël Rabarijaona

Le gagnant du Prix du Jury, Gaël Rabarijaona, vient de Madagascar.  Gaël se passionne très tôt pour le monde multimédia.  Après avoir obtenu son bac il s'est tourné vers une formation de graphisme qui a aboutit du haut de ses 18 ans à son premier emploi en tant que webdesigner.  Deux ans après il a créé avec un ami la société e-solve.  Sa principale responsabilité au sein de l'entreprise est la création graphique de produits divers : sites Internet, supports de communication papier (affiches, flyers) et cd-roms interactifs.  Il reste également à l'écoute des nouvelles tendances et des nouveautés du monde du design.

Ooprint and the Web 2.0

Ooprint is all about the World Wide Web.  Many of our team members have their own blogs, we have profiles on social networking sites such as Facebook and Ziki, and we love surfing the net.

This past weekend several of us had the opportunity to attend the Webdeux.connect event in Paris.  We had a great time meeting other bloggers, attending conferences and info sessions about internet topics, hearing about new online startup companies, and sharing information about ooprint.

Ooprint was also happy to offer 100 free personalized business cards to every attendee for the "Connecting Party".  We hope the guests enjoyed this nice surprise, and made some great new contacts thanks to their connecting cards!
